Cayce and Michelle started Kingsman Editing with one goal in mind: quality.
Authors should always hire more than one editor to edit a manuscript. In the independent publishing world, however, expenses make that difficult, so we found a way to work around that.
What’s the process?
By combining an editing duo with expertise, this team is ready to make your manuscript shine. We know how important your manuscript is, so we want to give your manuscript the best weapons we have: our red (digital) pens and our eyes.
Cayce will be your senior editor, so you’ll mostly work with her if you’re looking for a developmental or line edit. Once your manuscript reaches the copyediting phase, we pull out the full arsenal. After Cayce’s first pass, Michelle will conduct a pass through your manuscript, and Cayce will go through it one last time before returning it, polished and ready. Well, with the changes tracked.
Only want one editor?
Don’t worry. If you only want to work with one editor, we work individually, too. Just let us know in the request form, and you’ll hear from the editor of your choice.
If you’d like to see our individual sites and contact one or the other, you can see Cayce’s website here and Michelle’s website here. Or, like we said, you can let us know in the request form on this site.
Autumn is the assistant editor and guard dog for Kingsman Editing. Her services include eating dictionaries and begging for someone to pet her mostly, but you can learn more about her and see what adventures she goes on by visiting her on Instagram or learning a bit about her here!
Any idea, no matter how good, presented poorly is a bad idea. I have been writing out bad ideas for a while now. If you’re like me, you aren’t aware that what you have isn’t the best you can do. I was only made aware of this after I sent my work to Ms. Berryman. Since I knew I didn’t know what to look for, I went ahead with the developmental editing. I knew it might be hard but I was willing to see what she had. Upon receiving the edits/notes back, I was thoroughly amazed. Everything she pointed out… Read more “Thank you!”
